Lena Headey interviews Pedro Pascal for Hunger Magazine
By Lightbringer on in Interview.

Lena Headey and Pedro Pascal are featured in the latest issue of Hunger Magazine. In a refreshing twist from the usual interview, Lena poses questions to Game of Thrones newcomer Pedro about his character Oberyn Martell.

Accompanied by a playful picture, the pair joke about Pedro’s ass kissing after joining the show as a proper fan. It was his experience as a fan that prepared him for the inevitably massive reaction to his casting announcement, and calls the Red Viper the best part he’s ever played.

Thanks to Greenjones for the tip!

I love Lena. She’s really made Cersei a much more alive, complex and more sympathetic character. And absolutely fun. I love that Cersei has a resting bitch face of like 100 but in real life Lena has the most chill, laid back demeanor ever.

That picture reminds me of the very first episode when Jon Arryn had those painted stones over his eyes. I don’t think that’s the funeral scene George had in mind. Obviously they didn’t have the budget to create Baelor’s Sept so the throne room had to make do, but incenses and organs in jars, really? I don’t think we’ll be getting any of that at Joffrey’s & Tywin’s funerals.

    Valyrian Plastic,

I love this role of Charles Dance, it was the first movie I saw him in partly because of James McAvoy. It’s a sweet film with Benedict Cumberbach as an english version of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.

Fun fact:Did you know that Charles and Lindsay were told that they didn’t have to strip off completely naked. Lindsay covered herself w/a small cloth but 60 year old Charles insisted that he parade around naked for the film, and when the cameras stopped rolling and the wardrobe assistant offered to cover him up he said No need darling, I’m fine.

I have always been convinced by this theory. When people assume Rhaegar was a rapist just because Robert Baratheon (who harboured a great deal of hate for the Targs for various reasons beyond the one that Rhaegar “stole” Lyanna) thought so, I immediately feel they don’t read the books with as much attention than they should.

Rhaegar is possibly one of the most mysterious characters in the entire saga and I think his motivations play an important role in the story. I am still intrigued by Ned’s very peculiar “neutral” stance toward Rhaegar in the first book. Plus, both book and tv Barristan thought very highly of Rhaegar and I am more prone to believe his judgement of character than Robert’s

Here’s one of my very own.

Brienne is AA. Now that she and Jaime have met back up, the next book will feature some utterly unexpected sexytime (and it’s hard to say which one will be more bewildered by this staggering turn of events) then Brienne will somehow wind up being forced to use Oathkeeper (which is a RED sword, lest anyone forget) to kill off poor Jaime before he can become Goldenhand the Just. And before you say I’m goofy – in Jaime’s weirwood/bear dream, her sword flared up with magical light, too.

Ok personal crackpot theory posted for posterity. Place your bets on how close I am :D

Me neither. Robert’s view is one of those very nice ruses that GrrM purposefully gives to us. The same goes for Wylla. It is revealed to us through Ned that she is Jon’s mother, but then we later discover via an Arya chapter in aSoS she was actually Jon and Ned Dayne’s wet nurse (according to young Ned Dayne, and he is younger than Jon). Something just doesn’t add up… :) This is all just speculation so I won’t bother spoiler tagging.

Close to my theory: Jaime is AA. He may be captured by the brotherhood and forced to fight Brienne. She may be forced to kill him. But the Brotherhood has a Red Priest among them. Jaime will be resurrected during his burial rites ala Beric . GRRM seems to be greatly influenced by the Ragnarok and Jaime’s story seems to be very close to that of Tyr.

They also have mentioned House Dustin and Barrowton several times in the series. Maybe D & D are laying the foundations because they know something we don’t. Also a female character working amongst the Boltons makes a interesting dynamic for the series. There’s definitely more than meets the eye with her character. I could be wrong though. Sansa IS a terrible character, according to who you are talking to.

Renly WAS the rightful heir according to his loyal followers.

Dany has Dragons. Stannis has Mel. So, sure.. why not. (Don’t worry Mel, you are still my fave gal and dragons stand no chance!)

I draw the line at Cat.

I see no flame war reasons. You are such a tease!

    Strider,
ok, better ramp it up a notch:

Tyrion should have died at Blackwater.

Cat deserved the RW for how she treated Jon Snow

AFFC/ADWD are travesties that should never have been written, ASOS should have served as an open ending to the series.

Renly would objectively have been a better King than Stannis

Sorry Neil, George RR Martin IS my bitch

Can’t wait for this coming Sunday!

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink beneath the lake,
    The shadows lengthen
    In Carcosa.
Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies
    But stranger still is
    Lost Carcosa.
Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
    Must die unheard in
    Dim Carcosa.
    Song of my soul, my voice is dead;
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
    Shall dry and die in
    Lost Carcosa.

Well we totally agree on this one. So long as we are paying his bills, he’s our bitch.

    cosca,

I was going to give you half of Tormund’s cookies for being nice yesterday! And then you write THAT?!
I wash my hands of you.

If you can tell at which one I started crying, I shall leave one for you for anyway.
